He also has interest in applying ROC curve concepts to Biomarkers for the prediction of disease.
Professor Blume is a founder and the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) for a newly formed Biostatistics consulting company: Analytical Edge Inc. (www.analyticaledge.com). Analytical Edge offers cutting edge expertise and software in likelihood methods for measuring the strength of statistical evidence.
Biography
Dr. Blume is an Associate Professor in the Center for Statistical Sciences at Brown University. Dr. Blume received his Ph.D. in Biostatistics from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, where he was the recipient of a National Eye Institute Traineeship in Clinical Trials. He has extensive experience in the development, operation, analysis, and methodological aspects of Clinical Trials.
